Community Outreach

Taking the message of God's love out into the community is an important part of our mandate as Christians.  Our congregation participates in many various outreach projects throughout the year.  Here are some of the organizations that we support.

Charlotte Chapter of Threads of Love

Threads of Love is a national sewing charity that seeks to share God's love and comfort to those in the community who are dealing with an infant death, pregnancy loss or premature and/or hospitalized infant.  Meetings are held the 3rd Saturday of each month.  Our local Charlotte Area chapter is sponsored by Family of Faith, but is a true community effort, with over 100 volunteers from all around the area, not just members of our congregation.  All are welcome and encouraged to get involved!  Our volunteers are from all walks of life, but are bound by a desire to help others who are hurting.  For more information, visit our chapter's website: www.charlottethreadsoflove.org

Cabarrus Cooperative Christian Ministry

Our congregation collects non-perishable food items for CCM's food pantry.  Bring your items and place in the box provided in the narthex.  CCM's website:   http://www.cooperativeministry.com/.

School Volunteers

We have 'adopted' Carl Furr Elementary school and provide volunteers and have various service projects throughout the year to assist the school and families in need who attend the school.

Community Yard Sales

Our congregation holds community yard sales on selected Saturday mornings in the spring and fall.  Spaces are available to the community for a small donation.  Check out the events calendar for future dates!

Cabarrus Habitat for Humanity

Family of Faith has volunteered with Habitat since 2005 and continues to work on various projects.  Check our Calendar page or contact us to get more information on our next project.
